Frequently Asked Questions
How should I clean the Range Mate PRO Microwave Cookware?
All of the Range Mate PRO Microwave Cookware must be hand washed and not submerged in water. All of the cookware pieces have tiny air holes in the bottom of every pan, and must never get clogged. These holes allow the Range Mate PRO to exhaust air for the best cooking process.
What do I do if I accidentally submerged or washed my Range Mate PRO Cookware in the dishwasher?
If the cookware becomes soaked with water through the air holes, the next time you use the cookware, the water will boil out of the unit and may pool in your microwave. However, until this water is expelled, your Range Mate PRO will not heat to its optimal temperature. You will know when all the water has been expelled when water stops releasing. You can then use your Range Mate PRO as usual. However, repeated submerging will deteriorate the protective lining in your cookware and will invalidate the warranty.
My microwave shut off during cooking. What is causing that?
Microwaves have safety shut-off regulators if it overheats during extended use. On rare occasions, if you have used your Range Mate PRO for a long period of time, this may occur. Simply open the door of your microwave, remove the Range Mate PRO pan, and let it cool down for a few minutes. If the problem persists, you probably have a cooling fan blockage or fuse issue in your microwave. Please consult with your microwave manufacturer’s website or customer service for further troubleshooting.
Can I grill meat and roast vegetables at the same time?
Yes! If meat, fish or chicken take a similar time to cook as the vegetables, they will cook in approximately the same time. For example, you can prepare both a piece of fish ¾ inch thick and small green beans or asparagus in 3 to 4 minutes (after the pan has been pre-heated). Refer to our Range Mate Professional Cookware Cookbook, Ready, Set Dine! for meals in minutes, available for sale with this offer.
Should I always pat dry meat or fish before cooking?
If you are grilling, always pat meat or fish dry first to prevent excess water from steaming.
When you use the Range Mate PRO Grill pans with the ceramic-coated microwave blocking lid, are there really no microwaves cooking the food?
That is correct! By using the Range Mate PRO Grill pans, the microwaves are heating up the patented ceramic grill plate up to 750º F. The ceramic grill plate emits high temperature far infrared heat, producing grilled, juicier results.
What is the purpose of the winged handle?
The winged lid allows the lid to stand up on the wing taking less space and prevent dripping on the countertop.
